Former HGTV Host Was Found Guilty For Molesting Daughter's Best Friend: Reports
According to a statement, Christopher Dionne, a former host of an HGTV renovator, was found guilty of molesting a 10-year-old girl in his home in Connecticut.
An official of the New London Superior Court told People's magazine Dionne, 37, on Wednesday was convicted of the threat of minor and fourth-grade physical assault.
It was expected that a $100,000 bond would be issued at the outlet and convicted on Dec. 11.
HGTV said in a statement on Friday, "The pilot you referred to featured in a pilot that debuted on our network in 2015."
Dionne's series "Family Flip" was shown by viewers in one episode in 2015.
Some say the victim of Dionne, 12, testified during the trial that at the time of the attack she had been best friends with the mother of Dionne. On the source, "the daughter of Dionne and she belonged to the same football team and frequently slept in each other's homes."
In November 2017, Dionne's wife reported that she was staying at his house during a birthday break when she approached her inappropriately - waking her up in the early hours of the morning, putting her hands on her buttocks inside her pajamas.
She said later, too, he got his hand under her top, jiggled her head, and allegedly took a photo of her on her mobile.
Per People, the accuser of Dionne said she had been molested twice, just hours apart. Dionne's two children-a son 14 and a daughter 10 years old-were sleeping in the house, as stated.
She rejected his progress and Dionne returned to his room, people reported. According to the source, Dionne didn't attack the child for the first time. A similar incident happened in September when Dionne asked the child if she wanted to kiss his genitals.
