Sulli's battle with panic disorder and trolls that forced her to quit f(x) as K-pop star dies aged 25
Sulli struggled with online abuse from trolls and panic attacks during her K-pop career.
The former f(x) star has died aged 25, with her manager finding her at her home in Seongnam after being unable to contact her.
Sulli is believed to have died in a suspected suicide, with a police official saying: 'It seems that she took her own life but we are also looking into other possibilities.'
The singer has been open about her struggles with trolling, having left f(x) on hiatus in 2014 due to the malicious comments she was receiving online.
A statement at the time from SM Entertainment read: 'f(x) member Sulli became mentally and physically exhausted from the continuous, malicious comments and false rumours, and has expressed her wish to take a break from her celebrity activities for the time being.
'After careful deliberation and taking her wish into consideration, we will reduce her activities and let her take a break for the time being.'
A year later, in August 2015, Sulli confirmed she was leaving the group for good.
The Busan-born singer had debuted with f(x) alongside Amber, Victoria, Luna and Krystal back in 2009.
Sulli turned to acting after she left f(x), although returned to music this year with her debut solo single album Goblin, which was released in June.

However, even after leaving f(x), Sulli - real name Choi Jin-ri - struggled with the comments from cruel trolls, and in a recent Instagram live video circulating online, she asked: 'I'm not a bad person. Why are [they] talking bad about me? Tell me one thing I did to deserve this.'
The To The Beautiful You star opened up on her experience of anxiety and panic in her reality show Jinri Store, which aired in 2018.
Sulli said: 'Social phobia, panic disorder.... I've had panic disorder ever since I was young.
'There were times when close people... Some of my closest friends have left me. People hurt me, so everything fell apart. I didn't feel like I had anyone on my side or anyone who could understand me. So that's why I completely fell apart.'
In recent years, Sulli suffered the loss of close friend Jonghyun, who died aged 27 in December 2017.
The SHINee star and Sulli's SM label-mate's cause of death was confirmed as suicide.
Sulli was one of the celebrities present at Jonghyun's funeral.
In the wake of Sulli's passing, fans of the talented star have shared their heartbreak and condolences on social media as they come to terms with the shock news.
One fan tweeted: 'Rest in peace for the beautiful and talented woman', while other messages read 'we lost another angel...' and 'You can finally rest now'.
Sulli's former f(x) bandmate Amber Liu has cancelled her upcoming activities in the wake of the news.
